So, what is Ticket Tailor’s AI assist?

AI assist is a new MCP connector that links your Ticket Tailor Box Office with Anthropic’s Claude, a leading AI tool built for conversation, reasoning and results. It brings the power of the Ticket Tailor’s API, features, functionality and data, directly into your AI conversations. And it’s not just for chit chat, it can actually perform tasks for you. Magic!

It’s available on Claude’s Pro plan. and powered by something called MCP.

Hang on, what’s an MCP connector?

Great question. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, and is an open standard developed by Anthropic that lets AI tools like Claude securely interact with external systems in real time. It gives large language models (LLMs) the ability to securely call APIs, fetch data, and take actions. 

Widely adopted by AI leaders including OpenAI and Google DeepMind, MCP is fast becoming the backbone for AI assistants that work across tools. It’s what powers Ticket Tailor’s AI assist to securely connect directly with your Box Office.

Think of it like giving Claude a direct, real-time line to your Box Office. You stay in control, but Claude can fetch data, take actions, and give smart, contextual responses that make event management a breeze.

Getting started is easy

Don’t worry, the beauty of MCP’s is they are super easy to set up and you absolutely don’t need to be technical to benefit from the magical powers of AI assist.

Here’s what you need to do.

• First, you will need to be on the Claude Pro plan.
• Then, create an API key in Ticket Tailor, and copy it somewhere safe.\
• In Claude, go to ‘Settings > Connectors’ and look for ‘Add custom connector’
• Enter http://mcp.tickettailor.ai/sse as the MCP server URL, then click ‘Add’.
• You'll be taken to a page to authenticate: this is where you enter the API key you created in the first step.

Then you’re good to go. Start asking Claude to do the heavy lifting and watch it work its magic.
