Ticket Tailor: Our B Corp Story
We’ve always been big believers that businesses should play a vital role in making the world better.

At Ticket Tailor, we’ve always been big believers that businesses should play a vital role in making the world better. Which is why our vision is all about ‘growth on purpose’; to use our business as a force for good, in as many ways as we can, so that its growth naturally has a positive impact on people and our planet.
Back in 2020, with this ethos driving us forwards, it became very apparent that it was a no-brainer for us to pursue B Corp certification.
B Corps are companies that have been independently verified for their ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible practices 🙌.
A couple of years later, after months of rigorous assessment, we were officially certified! It’s been an incredible journey so far – we were the first independent online ticketing platform to become a B Corp and are thrilled to now be part of a global community of over 10,000 B Corps who, like us, believe in doing business responsibly.
What’s a B Corp?
B Corps are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. The focus for B Corps is on doing good for all stakeholders, not just shareholders, as is often the case with many profit-focused organisations.
Being a B Corp involves making a legal commitment to having a material positive impact on both people and the planet, with intentional regard to all stakeholders including employees, suppliers and customers, amongst others. In short, it means you care about a lot more than just making money.
We are incredibly proud to be part of a global community of over 10,000 B Corps, who all believe in using business as a force for good.
The more companies who certify and join the movement, the closer we can get to an economic system that is inclusive, equitable and regenerative for all people and the planet.
You can see a breakdown of our score on the B Corp website.

How it started: Becoming a B Corp
Applying for B Corp certification isn’t for the faint hearted! It’s a rigorous and quite lengthy process – we started our journey just before the pandemic in 2020, and it took over two years to get across the finish line. To apply for certification you must provide lots of answers and evidence about the way in which you run your business, from governance to employee well-being through to environmental impact and creating value for customers.
There are over 200 questions which assess policies, processes and best practices across all business operations. The framework allows you to score how well you’re already doing, whilst also giving you a solid guide on where else you can continue to improve. We’re very proud to have certified for the first time with a score of 86.3 (to certify you need a score of 80 – the average business scores less than 60!).
But we didn’t stop there…
How it’s going: Our latest B Corp recertification
Every three years, B Corps undergo a reassessment to show they’ve sustained and improved their performance. This continuous evaluation is what makes the certification meaningful. It essentially ensures businesses uphold and improve on their standards over time, rather than stagnating or regressing.
Remember that original score of 86.3 we were so proud of? Imagine our ear-to-ear grins when we discovered that, after much, much hard work, we had raised our score to 123 during the recertification process in 2025 🎉.

How we did it: Highlights from our journey so far
Becoming, and remaining, a B Corp is all about walking the talk. Here’s a snapshot of some of our proudest achievements so far, and what our B Corp journey has looked like in real-terms:
We donate 1p for every ticket sold on our platform to environmental charities – helping fund rainforest protection, ocean conservation, peatland restoration and more. So far we’ve raised over £500,000 in all-time donations through this initiative, which we call Penny For The Planet.
We’ve reached carbon neutrality and offset our entire historical footprint – alongside annual carbon measurement, reporting, and continuous Scope 3 emissions reductions.
We’ve embedded carbon into our company decision-making – from budgeting for emissions to launching tools like our Climate Impact Tracker, which gives event creators visibility into their own footprint.
We’ve maintained exceptional customer support and satisfaction – with an NPS consistently over 70 and response times under two minutes, even as the customer base grew 140%.
We’ve invested deeply in team wellbeing – introducing extended parental leave, wellbeing budgets, mental health first aid, coaching and learning funds and keeping an eNPS consistently above 70 (peaking at 89).
We’ve ensured fairer, more inclusive compensation – including an equal profit-share scheme for all employees and incentives like renewable-energy bonuses.
We choose sustainable and ethical partners – switching to B Corp banking, purchasing refurbished IT equipment, and moving to a BREEAM-certified office.
We’ve supported local and global communities – with staff volunteering over 350 hours and launching EarthInvest, which funded climate-conscious startups with £62,500 in grants in 2024.
We’ve strengthened governance for long-term impact – updating Articles of Association, formalising impact metrics, and creating internal committees for DEI and climate action.
We’ve continued improving accessibility, product features and customer empowerment, delivering 350+ new features, upgrading platform accessibility, and enabling event creators to raise £6.5M+ for charity through Ticket Tailor.
