Common questions about using Stripe

I don't have a Stripe account, is that a problem?

Not at all. Log into Ticket Tailor and we'll give you a link to create a new account.

I'm not a business can I use Stripe?

Yes. You can use Stripe to sell tickets if you have not established a separate business entity to do so. Stripe supports the following alternative business types that you can choose from when signing up:

• Sole proprietorship: If you do not have a separate entity and operate by yourself.
• Partnership: If you do not have a separate entity and operate with others.

Can I take in-person payment with Stripe?

Yes we have a Stripe Terminal integration that allows you to connect a Stripe ePOS device to your Ticket Tailor account.

What are Stripe's fees?

Stripe charge a fee for every transaction. Generally this is a percentage plus a fixed amount per order, for example, 1.5% plus 20p in the UK. In this example the 20p is charged per order, not per ticket.

Stripe's fees change for different countries, currencies and payment methods.

Is Stripe the only payment processor I can use?

No. We also work with PayPal and Square. Find out more here.

Can I connect multiple accounts?

You can only connect one Stripe account to a single Ticket Tailor account. But you can have multiple Ticket Tailor accounts for different Stripe accounts. There is no extra cost for this. You can connect different payment methods to the same account and give your customers the choice of paying with Stripe, PayPal or Square.

Can customers pay by invoice or on the door?

Yes, we have an offline payment feature that allows you to dictate alternative payment methods, not reliant on a payment processor. Learn more.
